Our History

Nundah Village Dental has been part of the Nundah Community since 1981 when Dr John Burgess took over from Dr Reginald Mc Call, one of the original dentists in Nundah since 1947. Dr Burgess worked hard in the years that followed to build a loyal patient base. Before long it was obvious that Nundah Village Dental had become a growing and valued business in the Nundah Community. With this growth came a need for more dentists to see the patients knocking at our door. In 1991 John welcomed his first associate dentist during this growth period the associates worked on part time basis to support the demand of patients.

It was in 2000 that John welcomed Dr Marc Miller to his team. Originally Marc only worked a few days a week. However it was obvious that Marc had the same fundamental values as John and before long Marc had patients knocking on his door from Roma, the Sunshine Coast and right here in Nundah. Marc’s passion for dentistry is obvious from your very first appointment, Marc grew up in a family of Dentists. His Dad was a dentist in Roma and his brother was a dentist. He tried to follow a career in architecture but it was clear after only surviving O Week that dentistry was in his blood. John and Marc worked together for 7 years before starting a partnership. This partnership saw Nundah Village Dental welcome a team of associate dentists and over the years this team has worked together to treat the patients of our practice with the professional and dedicated care that John and Marc value. The partnership saw the Practice move from its original home above the TAB on Sandgate Road, to a larger premises on the Corner of Chapel Street and Sandgate Road, now Fitz Potts. Chapel Street was our home for 10 years.

In 2012 John and Marc were faced with a big decision, to stay in our 3 surgery practice that was becoming outdated or continue to expand their Practice to it’s full potential. Nundah Village Dental moved in 2012 to our new custom built practice. We grew from 3 surgerys to 5 which allowed us to be more available to our current patients and new patients who were moving into the growing hub of Nundah.

2017 saw Dr Marc Miller become the sole owner of Nundah Village Dental. We continue to be a family owned and operated practice. We are not preferred providers, instead welcome members of all health funds.  We use local labs with Australian materials to complete implants and crown and bridge work. We value feedback from our patients to ensure we continue to exceed the expectations of our patients.[/read]
